AMTA Citizens Terms & Conditions

1. Who owns and operates AMTA

AMTA Citizens (“AMTA”, “the Platform”, “we”) is owned, operated and protected by Armstrong Universal together with its affiliated undertakings Obsessionlens, Storirise Enterprise and Nspace Enterprise (together, “the Group”).

All software, source code, database structures, designs, brand marks, wordmarks, logos, artwork, cover art, sound design, animations, editorial systems, contest formats, ranking systems, wallet and coin mechanics, and all derivative works of the foregoing are the exclusive property of the Group and are protected by copyright, trademark, design and trade-secret law.

Nothing on AMTA transfers ownership, licence or goodwill in any Group asset to any user, partner, contractor or third party.

2. Your account and conduct

You must be at least 18 years old, register with your real identity, keep your credentials secret, and remain fully responsible for everything done through your account.

One human, one primary account. Impersonation, identity fraud, multi-accounting to inflate votes, follows, reads, referrals or earnings, and any automation that simulates human activity are prohibited.

We may suspend, restrict, unverify, demonetise or permanently remove any account that endangers the Platform, its citizens or the Group, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

3. Content, licence and protection

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant the Group a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, distribute, promote and publicly perform your content on and about AMTA for as long as it remains on the Platform and for a reasonable archival period afterwards.

You warrant that you hold every right needed for what you upload, including rights to music, images, video, likenesses and written work, and you indemnify the Group against any claim arising from your uploads.

Scraping, mirroring, crawling, screen-recording for redistribution, bulk downloading, reverse engineering, decompiling, or copying Platform content, code or data without written permission from the Group is strictly forbidden and will be pursued as infringement.

4. Prohibited activity

Fraud, money laundering, chargeback abuse, vote buying outside the official vote system, ticket forgery, counterfeit goods, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, and any use of AMTA to launder value.

Hate speech, harassment, threats, doxxing, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, terrorism, or the sale of weapons, drugs or human beings.

Attacks on Platform integrity, including exploitation of bugs, unauthorised access, injection, denial of service, or tampering with wallets, coins, ledgers, votes, reads or rankings. Any value obtained through such exploitation is void and recoverable.

5. Money, wallets, coins and payouts

The AMTA wallet is a records-based balance held for you, not a bank account or deposit-taking product. Coins are a limited, non-transferable digital licence to unlock content and carry no cash-redemption right except through the payout channels we publish.

AMTA charges a platform fee (currently 2%) on qualifying transactions, and authors receive 80% of coins spent unlocking their chapters. Fees, rates and shares may be revised with notice on the Platform.

Earnings from contests, events, tickets, sales, gifts and donations are held in escrow until their published payout date. Payout requests may be delayed or refused where fraud, dispute, chargeback or legal duty requires it.

All sales are final unless a refund is required by law or expressly granted in writing. Currency conversions displayed are indicative reference rates only.

6. Contests, events and tickets

Contest hosts are solely responsible for the truthfulness, legality, prizes and delivery of their contests, and AMTA is not the organiser unless expressly stated.

Votes are final and non-refundable. Detected fraudulent voting is nullified and the associated value is forfeited.

Ticket buyers deal directly with the host. AMTA supplies the checkout, verification and settlement rails only.

7. Marketplace and services

Sellers must own or be licensed to sell what they list, describe it truthfully, and honour delivery. Buyers must pay honestly and raise disputes through the Platform first.

AMTA is a venue, not a party to any sale contract, and does not warrant any listing, service, class or business registered on it.

8. Liability, indemnity and enforcement

AMTA is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Group excludes all implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill or business interruption.

Where liability cannot be excluded, the Group's total aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you paid AMTA in the three months preceding the claim, or ₦50,000.

You indemnify and hold harmless Armstrong Universal, Obsessionlens, Storirise Enterprise, Nspace Enterprise, their directors, officers, staff and partners against any claim, loss, fine or cost arising from your content, conduct or breach of these Terms.

We may pursue injunctive relief, damages, account termination, forfeiture of ill-gotten balances and referral to law-enforcement for any breach that harms the Platform or its citizens.

9. Privacy and data

We collect only what the Platform needs to run: identity details, content, transactions, device and usage signals. We do not sell your personal data.

We may disclose data where legally compelled, to prevent fraud or harm, or to enforce these Terms. Content and transaction records may be retained for audit, tax and dispute purposes after account deletion.

10. Changes, governing law and contact

We may amend these Terms at any time; continued use after publication constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced in-app.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to the Group's right to seek relief in any competent jurisdiction.
