Section 22 · Effective 1 September 2026

Child & Minor Safety Policy

Age limits, CSAE prohibition, expedited reporting and cooperation with authorities.

22.1 Age Restriction (Under 16 Years)

Registration is not permitted for individuals under sixteen (16) years of age; accounts found to belong to a person under this age will be suspended and, where possible, the associated content removed.

22.2 Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

AMTA prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) material and conduct absolutely, including grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any sexualisation of a minor, whether real, animated or AI-generated. Detected material is removed immediately, the account is permanently terminated, and the matter is reported to the appropriate authorities.

22.3 Parental Consent Requirements

Where a jurisdiction-specific rule requires parental or guardian consent for users between sixteen and eighteen to engage in certain features (such as marketplace selling or paid competitions), AMTA will require evidence of such consent before enabling that feature.

22.4 Content Restrictions for Minors

Content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits minors is strictly prohibited across the social feed, competitions, and marketplace, and is removed immediately on detection, with the account subject to permanent termination and referral to law enforcement.

22.5 Reporting Child Safety Concerns

Suspected child safety violations can be reported in-app through the Report tool on any post, message or profile, or by email to safety@amtacitizens.com. These reports are prioritised for immediate review, ahead of all other queues.

22.6 Compliance with Child Protection Laws

AMTA cooperates with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the Nigeria Police Force, and other relevant authorities in relation to suspected child exploitation, in line with the Child Rights Act 2003 and the Cybercrimes Act.
