Cookies and similar tracking technologies used on the AMTA website and app.

3.1 What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on a user's device that allow the Platform to recognise the device on return visits and to remember information about the session, such as login state and language preference.

3.2 Types of Cookies Used

AMTA uses strictly necessary cookies (required for login, security, and checkout), functional cookies (for preferences such as feed language or saved marketplace filters), analytics cookies (to understand feature usage across the social, voting, and marketplace sections), and, where consented to, advertising cookies used to measure the performance of promoted listings or posts.

3.3 Purpose of Cookies

Cookies enable core functionality such as remaining logged in while browsing the marketplace or casting a vote, protect against fraudulent multiple-voting, and help AMTA measure which features are used so the Platform can be improved.

3.4 Managing Cookies

Users can manage or disable non-essential cookies through the cookie-consent banner presented on first visit or through browser settings at any time; disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent core features such as login, checkout, or voting from working correctly.

3.5 Consent to Use Cookies

Non-essential cookies are only set after a user has given consent through the cookie banner, which can be withdrawn at any time with the same effect as an initial refusal, in line with NDPA consent requirements.
