Business Registration Terms
Requirements for vendors and organisers registering a business on AMTA.
13.1 Registration Requirements
A business account requires the legal business name, registered address, contact details, and identity documentation; sole proprietors trading under their own name may register with valid personal identification and, where applicable, a Business Name registration certificate.
13.2 Verification of Business Information
AMTA verifies submitted business information against CAC records or other public registries where feasible and may request additional evidence, such as a utility bill or tax identification number, before activating full selling privileges.
13.3 Business Account Obligations
Business accounts must keep registration and contact details current, honour the pricing, return, and delivery terms stated on their listings, issue valid receipts where required, and comply with the Payments & Refund Policy.
13.4 Compliance with Nigerian Business Laws
Business users must comply with applicable Nigerian laws, including the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, and applicable tax laws, including remittance of VAT and other taxes due on sales made through the Platform.
13.5 Termination of Business Registration
AMTA may suspend or terminate a business account's registration for providing false registration information, repeated consumer complaints, or breach of these policies, subject to the notice and appeal procedures in the Account Suspension & Termination Policy.
