Section 12 · Effective 1 September 2026

Voting & Competition Rules

Rules for polls, contests and public votes, including anti-fraud measures.

12.1 Eligibility to Vote

Only registered, logged-in users who meet the age requirement may cast votes; a competition organiser may set additional eligibility criteria (such as location) which must be disclosed before voting opens.

12.2 One Vote Per Account Rule

Unless a competition's published rules expressly state otherwise (for example, a paid-vote format disclosed in advance), each verified account is entitled to one vote per poll or competition round; AMTA uses device, IP, and account-pattern checks to detect and remove duplicate or automated votes.

12.3 Voting Procedures

Competition organisers must publish clear rules, the voting period, and how winners are determined before voting opens; votes are recorded in real time and the current tally may be displayed publicly unless the organiser chooses a blind-count format disclosed in the rules.

12.4 Competition Entry Requirements

Entrants must meet any eligibility criteria set by the organiser, submit entries within the stated window, and comply with the Content & Media Policy; paid competitions require the organiser to be verified and to hold entry fees in accordance with the Payments & Refund Policy.

12.5 Winner Selection and Announcement

Winners are determined by the vote count or judging criteria published before the competition opened; results are announced through the competition page and, where applicable, prizes are distributed within the timeframe stated in the competition's rules.

12.6 Fraud Prevention Measures

AMTA employs automated anomaly detection, manual audit of high-traffic competitions, and reporting tools to identify vote manipulation, bot accounts, and vote-buying; confirmed fraud results in disqualification of the affected votes or entrant and may trigger enforcement action.

Paid votes are a contribution to a contest organiser's campaign and are not a game of chance, a wager, or a lottery. Votes purchase no prize entitlement for the voter.
