Section 8 · Effective 1 September 2026
Content & Media Policy
Standards for text, images, video and other media uploaded to AMTA.
8.1 Content Standards
All content must be accurate, lawful, and appropriate for a general audience that includes users as young as sixteen; marketplace listings must accurately describe the product or service offered, including price, condition, and delivery terms.
8.2 Media Upload Guidelines
Images and videos must be owned by the uploader or used with permission, must not exceed the file-size and format limits published in the app, and marketplace product photos should genuinely represent the item for sale.
8.3 Prohibited Content
Prohibited content includes child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, graphic violence, content promoting self-harm, terrorism-related content, counterfeit goods listings, and content that violates the Community Guidelines or Nigerian law.
8.4 Content Removal and Moderation
AMTA moderates content through automated filters and a human review team; content found to breach this Policy is removed, and repeat or severe breaches trigger the enforcement actions in the Community Guidelines. Users can block and mute other accounts, and can report any post, reel, story, message or listing from the item itself.
8.5 User Responsibility for Content
Users are solely responsible for the content they post, including its accuracy, legality, and any consequences arising from it, and agree to indemnify AMTA against third-party claims arising from their content to the extent permitted by law.
