Payments & Refund Policy

9.1 Payment Methods

AMTA accepts payment via debit/credit card, bank transfer, and licensed mobile money or wallet providers integrated with a Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)-licensed payment processor. AMTA does not directly store full card details; these are handled by its PCI-DSS-compliant payment partner.

9.2 Pricing and Fees

Prices for marketplace goods are set by vendors and displayed inclusive of any applicable Value Added Tax (VAT); AMTA charges a service or commission fee on transactions and, where applicable, entry fees for paid competitions, both of which are disclosed before payment is confirmed.

Funds added to an AMTA Balance are credited at the amount funded; a portion of a balance is reserved so that a spending cap of 80% of the funded amount applies, and bank withdrawals are free. Contest application fees paid by contestants reach the host in full. Adding money to an AMTA Balance carries a flat processing fee of two hundred naira per deposit. Fees in force are always shown before a transaction is confirmed.

9.3 Refund Eligibility

Marketplace refunds are available where goods are not delivered, are materially not as described, or are defective, subject to the vendor's return window stated on the listing; competition entry fees and cast votes are non-refundable once a competition has started, except where the competition is cancelled by AMTA.

9.4 Refund Process

Refund requests are submitted through the order or entry page and are reviewed within a stated turnaround period; approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within the timeframe set by the payment processor.

9.5 Disputes Regarding Payments

Payment disputes between a buyer and vendor are first addressed through AMTA's internal resolution process; unresolved disputes may proceed under the Dispute Resolution Policy, and users retain their right to chargeback procedures offered by their bank or card issuer where applicable.
